Premature ejaculation

A patient with premature ejaculation is defined as an inability to control his ejaculation, ejaculating before penetration or within the first few minutes of penetration, or failing to achieve climax with his partner. This is associated with emotional distress and personal changes with his partner. The condition is very common; up to 1 in 3 men have experienced this episode at least once. This condition can be occasional, which does not cause a major problem, or it can be so frequent that it is present in all sexual acts that it already has an impact on the health of both the patient and his partner.

This disease is multifactorial, involving psychological and biological factors. Psychological factors include depression, body image disturbances, stress or anxiety, feelings of guilt, and so on. Biological factors include hormonal abnormalities, neurotransmitter disorders, prostatitis, and urinary tract infections, among others. The most commonly associated risk factors are stress and established erectile dysfunction.

Currently, there are different treatments, from behavioral therapies to topical or oral treatments, that can restore sexual quality.

We have the experience, resources, and technology to treat this disease. If you experience any of these symptoms, we invite you to schedule an appointment so we can provide a comprehensive approach and treatment.
